Hello! I am Heather and I am thrilled to be on board the team at Kingston Churches Housing Association as your Housing Services Manager.
As an outgoing and confident person, I am eager to get stuck in to meet the residents, see the properties and communities, and continue the great work that Calum completed. With the Tenant Engagement trips shortly coming up for 2025, I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible at one of the events and getting to know you and listening to any concerns and ideas that you may have for your communities and the Housing Team. Having been in housing for over 10 years and working for several Housing associations, the overarching joy I get from helping residents live happily and safely in their homes is why I pursued a career in the Housing sector. Prior to this, I served with Hertfordshire Constabulary for 8 years and won awards for the work I completed on community cohesion. Here at Kingston Churches, we want out tenants to ‘Thrive’ and with the rise of the cost of living, I am happy to announce an incentive that we have had approved to help our residents do just that. We have grants available for residents to help with energy bills, food, travel fees for work, white goods. Please see our Hardship fund information for further details on how to apply. Alternatively, you can speak to your Housing Officers, Jodie Kirk and Kim Wilkes. I am responsible for the Housing Department and I have great team alongside me. Your Housing team consists of Jodie Kirk (Housing Officer) who is responsible for the Sheltered Housing Schemes and some general needs properties. Kim Wilkes (Housing Officer) who is responsible for our general needs properties and Intermediate rent properties. Trudi Vine (Housing Assistant) who takes all your calls and queries. And your Sheltered Scheme managers, Pat Faulds who looks after Thronton Lodge and Broughton House. Ann Longden is responsible for Wilberforce House and Karen Toland who looks after Torrington Scheme. When I am not working hard to help residents, I am a Dog Mum to Norman and enjoy having many adventures with him! I have an amazing group of friends and family and enjoy spending time with them and socialising. I live with my partner, who I rarely see as he is mainly found on the golf course! I am very excited to be here, and I look forward to working with you all very soon. Heather |
