Board of Management
The voluntary board of Management is responsible for the work of the Association. Members of the Board of Management bring a wide range of skills and experience. The Board develops overall policy and monitors the Association’s performance to see that its objectives are achieved.
As of January 2021 the members of the Board of Management are:
Glennis Beresford-Bevan: Chairman - Editor
Sam Spencer: Vice Chairman - Business Improvement Adviser
Bob King: Treasurer - Chartered Accountant
Chris Nicholson: Financial Adviser
Erhire Akpovrare: Operations Manager
Suzanne Barrows: Housing Head of Policy
Anna Chew: Senior Planning Manager
Martina Brown: Housing Operations Manager
Rosscoe Brown: Chief Executive/Company Secretary
There is one further position that we have reserved for a Tenant Board Member. They are now completing the induction process, which includes observing Board meetings, before becoming an elected member.
The Chief Executive is an elected Board member but not a shareholder. In this specific situation, Membership of the Board rests with the position of office and not the individual.
The Association considers a Board membership of 10 to the optimum level to be able to carry out scrutiny of operations, set the strategic path and carry our governing duties for this size of Association.
