Ross’s London to Brighton Bike Ride for Crisis

KCHA has worked in partnership with a number of Homeless Charities (e.g. Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness, Centrepoint, Shelter).  We have done this by providing assets, making donations and volunteering.

2025 is KCHA’s 60th Anniversary year and I thought I would push myself even further than usual in our effort to tackle homelessness. On Sunday 14th September I will be cycling from London to Brighton in aid of the homeless charity Crisis. While KCHA continues to support to local charities, we have chosen Crisis because they are present nationwide and can reach many more vulnerable people in need.

A target of £500 was set and I was delighted that within the first few days, thanks to some very generous donations, almost half of this amount had been donated. Every penny will make a huge difference, but please do not feel obligated to part with hard earned cash if you cannot afford to, there are many ways in which you can support local and national charities. If you can spare a pound or two as a donation to the excellent work of Crisis, I would be really grateful. The link to the just giving page is here:

While I like cycling, it will be a big challenge for me, I have not cycled even half this distance previously. Regular updates on my training will be posted, along with a full article on how I progressed throughout the day.

Thank you in advance for your support and I hope to reach the finish line with a smile!
